Aunt Heidi...

Heidi came out from California for a few days at the beginning of October.  Madi was only a couple days old when we saw her last so we were really excited to be able to spend some time with her.  It took Madi about the whole time she was here to warm up to her but she finally did.  Easton was all smiles!  We love ya Heidi!

Tracy Aviary...

We were able to spend some time with Heidi at the beginning of October.  Derrick took a couple days off.  While Heidi got her hair colored one of the days, we took the opportunity to check out Tracy Aviary.  Madi loves birds and it was a new place for us so we were really excited.  They have a bald eagle and two golden eagles that have had wing injuries and are unable to fly.  Because of this they are not fully caged in and we were able to seem them fairly close up.  I thought it was pretty cool to see.  Madi must have too because a couple days ago she told me she wants a bald eagle. :D
They had peacocks roaming freely.  Madi wanted so bad to pet them and got within inches but Derrick noticed how close she was and told her to back up a little.
They had lots of flamingos.  I like flamingos.
Madi led the way.  There weren't too many people there so we just followed her where she wanted to go.  It was nice to have a relaxing afternoon with the family.
Madi LOVED the birds.  She seemed totally enthralled by it all.  She is totally fearless (except of gorillas) when it comes to animals.  I like it but it is a little scary too!
My favorite bird to see was the toucan.  I have always wanted to see one.  They were a lot smaller than I thought they would be.  Look how cute my boys are!
I LOVE this picture.  Easton isn't smiling but they are both looking and Madi is so that is a huge accomplishment.  I love it!

We were able to watch them feed the pelicans and that was really cool.  I am not sure why I didn't take any pictures of that.  Probably because I was too busy watching.  We fed the ducks too.  Then went to the pond at Liberty Park and gave some bread to the geese.  They came right up to us.

Antelope Island (Labor Day Weekend)...

Since there are so many pictures in this post I am not going to do a lot of writing.  Over Labor Day weekend we went to Antelope Island with a couple of our favorite people, Chris and Annie.  We took lots and lots and LOTS of pictures trying to get the perfect family picture.  After a few hours and a couple thousand pictures later, these are a handful of my faves.  Thanks Annie for taking our pics and to both of you for being so patient with our littles!

Six months and Madi...

Over the weekend I took Easton's six month pictures.  I had hoped to get a super good one of Madi and Easton together but, I am pretty sure I am out of luck until they are much older.  I did get some pretty cute ones of each of them individually though.
Easton has such a sweet smile.  I LOVE that he smiles with his eyes too!
She was a little nervous to be in a tree but once she relaxed a little she forced a few smiles. :D
Easton eats EVERYTHING!  If he can get it in his mouth, he does.  If he can't, he gets mad and moves on.
I like this picture minus the big slobber pool coming from Easton's mouth.
My kids are so beautiful.  Madi is quickly turning into a little girl instead of a toddler.  She says and does things everyday to remind me she isn't a baby anymore.
A boy and a truck...
I think this is my favorite.  It was the second picture I took, and the one that Madi posed herself.
I love this one of Easton!  I love how blue my kids eyes are.  They are so bright!
Now to decide which ones to print...  Which one is your favorite?

It's almost here...

Easton is six months old.  That means that we can officially make him part of our family!  We finalize our adoption on November 7th at 1:30.  We are getting sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on November 12th and then we'll bless him on the 13th.  It is exciting to think it is coming up soon.  We are thrilled to be able to see our family and wish they were all able to be here but realize that isn't possible.  I love my little man like crazy and can't wait to see our angel all in white when we get sealed.

Welcome to volume two...

I filled a blog and I have to start over now or pay.  Starting over seemed like the much better alternative.  It will probably take me a little while to catch up and get everything posted so bear with me!
